Nor'Easter
It's been raining for over 36 hours, and we have at least another 24 hours of rain in the forecast. My husband, a volunteer firefighter, was called out over 13 hours ago to help pump out people's basements. He still isn't home. My daughter and I picked up some pizzas and dropped them off for the guys a few hours ago. Roads are flooded. Streams. Rivers. Ponds. Basements. Parking lots. Garages. My daughter's school. All flooded. It's been non-stop.
I took this photo at about 2:30 this afternoon. By 9:00 p.m., this fence was completely submerged. Here's what the normal water level looks like.
Just heard water dripping from a roof beam. Don't think I'll be sleeping too soundly tonight.
