Train Action

My bicycle ride, on a very mild and foggy afternoon, provided a chance to watch a Coos Bay Railroad train in action.

The bike path has a grade train crossing on it.

As I arrived a train was backing up through the crossing headed for a siding where another section of the train was waiting to be attached.

The brakeman clinging to the end of the car wished me a “good day” as he rolled past and on down the track to the siding.
