Looking towards the National Park

There is plenty of snow high up although not enough to even give a slight covering on the lower slopes. The animals in the National Park must be fully experiencing winter conditions now and the lack of tourists.

Today was the City Race in St. Moritz. The snow was brought in by the lorry load from the high passes to the streets of the city and teams of four bravely competed for the top prize: two downhill and two on cross-country skis, although one team did it all on cross-countries. The "traditionalists" team made it to the final in their traditional costumes and came runner's up.

After enjoying the festivities we headed onto a great wine bar called Pavarotti's where I was offered shaved truffles in my wine. One of life's experiences!
