Crazy!

Today was a rough day! Not because I'm turning 66 tomorrow because that's totally okay with me. And not because when my Orygon Home Boy asked what I wanted for my birthday I said nothing, because thats o.k., too! We are in business for ourselves in the building industry, in a small town in the middle of a recession and I want to be able to go to Portland next weekend to meet other blippers and visit my daughter so spending money on my birthday seems really silly. No, what really made it a rough day was that Orygon Home Boy (being a smart guy) knew he could make me happy taking me for a photo shoot drive and I took 184 pictures. Now...when you take that many pictures it makes it very VERY rough to choose that special one!

Should it be all the big waves coming up the Siuslaw River in the Jetty? You know, the ones that were bigger than I have ever seen before! Or should it be the one at the Crab Dock where years of people pulling up their crab traps over the railings have made deep indentations? Or, how about the seagull that looks like he is parachuting out of an airplane for the first time and having second thoughts? The sun on the water? The beach grass? You see what I mean? Its been a rough day! I had to pick this one because how often do I see this on the river! I might never get this shot again!

Oh, and then when we got home Orygon Home Boy asked me if I wanted him to mow the grass for me in our side yard, while I I chatted with momsrachel about her "date" and listened to my other daughter sounding like a mother worrying because momsrachel was late getting home from her "date's" parents home!

We had snow flurries last week, so the water cannot be warm, the waves were crashing right toward the rocks and he was all alone out there!
