December Challenge: Hands

Today was set aside to spend with visiting family, and local wineries were at the top of the list. The Temecula Valley has an ever-expanding list of wineries with tasting rooms and restaurants. Wiens family Winery is one we like to visit, as they specialize in the red wines we enjoy. Several brothers are actively involved in the winemaking process and often circulate through the tasting room to interact with visitors. Pictured here is Doug(?), the artist who painted the picture of the bare-knuckled boxer next to him. Do you notice a resemblance? The boxer is his great-grandfather Joseph Wiens. Interestingly, an unrelated employee at the winery also bore an uncanny resemblance to the boxer, even down to the curled mustache.
