Small Christmas market

We went to this small Christmas market with some friends. There used to be a saw mill here and the inn still bears the name. There was a "living" nativity in the old stall underground. The manger was set in front of these teeny weeny sheep to keep the baby Jesus warm. The adjacent stall had little dwarf donkeys as well. The sheep were so cute but wouldn´t turn away from their feed to get a good shot. It was a very small space and I couldn´t linger too long and the small children there wanted to get a glimpse of the manger, too.
Outside there was Glühwein and a warming fire then St Nicholas and Krampus turned up to visit the small children. December 6th is St Nicholas Day when good children receive gifts. Krampus, a devil like figure, visits on the eve of the 6th and beats naughty children with birch sticks and carries them off to the underworld. I must have been naughty as I got a good whack on the legs.
See here for Krampus and Nicholas.
