Music Maestro

Today was a triple-service workout. Played at the 9:30am, 11:15am AND 6:30pm services - with a trip to see mum in the hospital in-between. The 9:30am saw me a slight disaster when half way through a song my music book shut. There was just no way of saving the situation gracefully. Tried remembering the vague chord structure of the song but it really wasn't happening. Tried just singing louder. People began to look at me strangely. It was getting awkward. Tried finding the page with one hand and playing with the other but couldn't remember the song number. Disaster! Eventually L-J the kind bassist scrambled to my rescue and found my page just in time for the last chorus. Live music - cannae beat it!

Thankfully for the 6:30pm I was back in the safety of "Band 2" and the good folks from Blipcentral. Some lovely harmonies from the singers, a fab solo from Eubers and fantastic flute from A. Good to have her back too!

Went to the pub to meet a friend but only lasted an hour.
