Hiding
I'm hiding, I'm hiding
And no one knows where;
For all they can see is my
Legs and my rear
With apologies to Dorothy Aldis.
I spotted this young native forest spider, Novaranea laevigata, hiding in a seeding parsley plant while I was hanging out the washing. Since the increase in numbers of house sparrows they have become a rare sight. If I saw it without specifically looking then it is unlikely to miss the notice of a sharp-eyed sparrow, which is sad.
