Steam Power

It was a wonderful start to the Steam Railway Santa Special season with crisp clear conditions and every train fully booked.

Lots of happy faces as the children rode the train, visited Santa's grotto, watched the magic shows and had a ride on an indoor roundabout, coming away with some lovely presents.

I spent most of the time up and down the line with the frosty weather producing some superb smoke and steam.

Here the first train of the day powers up the incline from the main station at Havenstreet.
