Xmas Meal with the family
My side of the family as opposed to Di's side. A tradition ever since my dad passed away 4 years ago - boy does time fly. What a difficult bunch to photograph and interesting to see the different attitudes. My children strike a pose the mom ent they see a camera appear whilst everyone else makes a big fuss about not liking to be photographed, hence there are some pretty crappy shots here, but hey ho - it captures the spirit of the evening which is what matters..
A better meal than last year, but the table layout (L shaped) was a bit unfortunate as it split us into 2 groups. We did the best with the situation by making sure that the youngsters were kept together which worked well. The evening was marginally spoiled when Mark took issue with the way Pauline was talking to him. I'm not going to take sides, but will say that it could have been handled better. I hope they are big enough to forgive and forget. Depends how much of my mum's DNA Mark has in him; she did tend to bear a grudge.
We do it all again next Saturday, but this time with the badminton crowd. Bring it on.
