Spinning flight

December is a month of countdowns.
My mother made the children an advent calendar (cross stich... It will probably be a blip this month) and every day has a present - A small thing like silly putty or chocolate coins. It's a fun and crazy thing.

For the past several years I had rebelled against the "junk" aspect and had the children unwrap a piece of the nativity scene... But this year I didn't get it organized in time (key components were still in the attic) and after a couple of years, even the loveliest idea is redundant.

So this year I returned to little toys (many of which I had tucked away in a giveaway bag) and chocolate.

This is an LED helicopter that I had leftover from something several years ago. I was pleased the batteries still worked. The helicopter is the kind you pull back with a rubber band and after it flies up to the apex, when it drops, two wings spread out and it twists down.

My son had lots of fun with it this evening, and although the the picture is not fantastic, it is pretty interesting to me.
