Long Winters Nap

Chavo seems now settled in a quiet routine ,unless disturbed by such terrors as doorbell, fire alarm or strangers. If anything startles him he exists under the water tank. So I keep doors always open for him. This is not new behaviour : before he'd do a quick exist out of the cat flap. What is new : when I go to the loo he often then uses his dirt-box ( next to the loo ). Is this why we use the expression 'copy cat' ?? . I know kittens learn by copying mother, but he ain't no kitten.
