Wood Pigeon

Here is a quick blip of a Wood Pigeon who was prowling around on my patio in search of titbits. At the same time his friends were wolfing down peanuts on the bird table like there was no tomorrow.

I have never noticed the imperfections in wood pigeons eyes before. I photographed three different wood pigeons and they all shared very similar imperfections around the iris.

People are not gushing with affection for them, but they are a beautiful bird, if somewhat greedy.
