Frantic race up to London for an eye appointment, so I seized the chance to scoot along to Oxford Street. I managed to spot four of the Paddingtons on the bear trail, but have gone for this shot of Selfridges to sum up the glitz and bustle.

I even had an amusing half an hour as a guy tried to sell me a skin product costing £2000. I don't think he was that amused when he realised finally he'd wasted his time.
