Countdown

Ended up with a movie and fish and chips last night-all pretty tired!
This morning went to get rolls but unbelievably they didn't have any-it felt like a long walk in the snow/sleet! Had porridge instead, then headed to Stockbridge to pootle round the farmers market before seeing lace and fashion exhibition at the portrait gallery and 1st world war exhibition-both excellent.
After a good lunch in town and some more shopping (plus parking ticket!) then put the book group on the train home. Did some clearing up and thesis reading then to carol service. As always was excellent, with lots of group singing and the choirs and band on top form. Takes me back to school choir days!
On the walk home passed lots of people singing, whistling and humming carols to themselves.....definitely feeling Christmassy now!
