Queen Eden and the Court Jester

As Ethan didn't leave the house yesterday, apart for his gymnastics class, I felt we should have a family day out today. We haven't used our Historic Scotland membership for a wee while, and as Stirling Castle were holding a Medieval Merriment Christmas event, I thought that would be a good place to go.

We stopped off at the Foreveryoungs on the way to put some washing through their machine (ours stopped working last night). When Eden heard where we were going, she begged to come with us. So, hubbie, Ethan, Eden and I headed over to Stirling.

The kids enjoyed the events. Eden was very taken with the lady dressed up as the Queen and kept asking when she was coming back. She also enjoyed joining in with some medieval dancing. Ethans favourite was the jester although he was disappointed not to be picked to take part in their x- factor auditions to dress as a jester and tell a joke!

We then had a fish supper (in the car park of the David Stirling monument cos the kids said they were too hungry to wait any longer) before going to Foune to see the in-laws. The kids were hyper - I've never known the 2 of them so loud and crazy, especially when Uncle Ian arrived and played with them loads.

We were later back to Bathgate than planned so Zi hope Eden went off to sleep ok. Ethan was out like a light after his bedtime stories!
