Afternoon out...

We took advantage this afternoon of the free entry to the National Wallace Monument. Run by the local Council this is one place that falls between our Historic Scotland and National Trust memberships and as such can be quite an expensive wee visit for Maw, Paw and the Barmy Army.

It was a beautiful afternoon and the views from the top were spectacular.

This was the wee fella's first time up the top. The last time we went up had fallen asleep in his buggy so waited at the bottom with Grandpa. I went to lift him up today for a look over the top...well that unleashed a panic, he was not for looking over the top, you'd have thought I was going to throw him over! He was fine when he was standing in the crown:-)
