Winter
Poor BB was very ill during the night – almost the same as TT a few weeks ago. Poor wee things was very unhappy and we all had a very disrupted night. Poor grandma was up cleaning the carpet at 2.30am as we battled with stripping beds, a few loads of washing and of course looking after BB. He was like a ghost this morning – but I am amazed at how much he perked up during the day. Children can be so resiient.
We had arranged to go out for lunch, but we weren’t sure what to do. BB was happy to come out – thought not to eat. Luckily it wasn’t busy and we were in the corner away from other people. BB played on the iPad while we had a lovely – but hurried lunch. We came home and put BB to bed in the hope that he would have a sleep while TT and I went out for a post-lunch walk. We came back to find BB snuggled up on the sofa with grandma – having done his reading homework! There had been no sleep. I just hope he hasn’t shared his bugs with grandma and granddad.
We drove home this evening by the light of the moon. BB must be done in – but did not sleep. I, on the other hand, snoozed quite a bit of the journey.
The temperature has dropped and we had a bit of snow this morning. Winter must be here at last. Here are the falls on the River Swale on a wintery afternoon.
