traffic jam

A very icy wind, our work car park could have passed for a skating rink after it froze over rain & hailstones
I had to go to a meeting in Belfast this morning at 10.00 am, I did imagine the traffic would have eased off, but it was gridlock, virtually from Lisburn onwards.
It just proved that I would hate to do that journey every day.
The tops of the hills around Belfast were covered in snow
