brief moment of wakefulness

Z went on something of a feeding frenzy overnight and spent much of today sleeping it off. He did still give me a 4 hour spell of rest during the night so I shouldn't complain too much but all the feeding and winding left us both exhausted. Meanwhile, Eve did her level best to wear out Nanny with a vast array of games and then thankfully flaked out in front of Mary Poppins for a little while this afternoon. She burst back into life when Grandad arrived though..... who needs rest?!

I am grateful for a house full of family and other family and friends on the phone/text - I am far better at remaining sane when there are folk on hand to provide company and assistance.
