Rooted

There's a triangle of land in busy central Brisbane that was designated a 'reserve' in 1898 where three young fig trees were planted to offer a shady resting place for workers. THey're still here, doing the job they were intended for.

They are amazing trees, producing lots of aerial roots which grow from the branches and then make their way back down to earth.
