No doom and gloom
Since Marie had her surgery 3 weeks ago, the Surgeon found a Carcinoma in her Bowel and we had that meeting with the Surgeon, there has been no doom and gloom yes I have been in a head spin and many tears have been shed. The people in the Health Service who have been dealing with us are absolutely wonderful totally caring and are making us feel completely reassured. When I was on Ambulance Shift or Duty it was completely different clinical and direct even with the handover in the ED or ICU. Yesterday we had a visit from the Cancer Society to talk about Maries treatment when we go to Christchurch and left us with some resources to help us learn more about what is happening. This is Saint Mary's and I am quite sure when some of those older Ministers got up to give their weekly Sermon and those old Hymns where full of Doom and Gloom.
