Luckily this is just the laundry room, which has a flat roof, and with all of the wet weather we've had water began to seep through. As the ceiling has to be replaced we decided to renovate the entire room. The electrician has moved the power points to accommodate the repositioning of the radiator; the builders will put in a new ceiling on Wednesday and Thursday; the plumber will move the radiator and fit a new sink on Friday; J will decorate the room on Saturday and Sunday; the flooring will be replaced on Monday; new shelving units bought last week from Ikea will be assembled on Tuesday and I'll be able to replace all the things that are taking up space in other rooms on Wednesday- all in time for the wee ones putting up the Christmas decorations when they arrive for their sleepover on Friday!
