The color of spring

We arrived this morning in Italy to discover that another foot of snow had fallen since our last visit, which was in the process of rapidly melting. I went for my usual walk in the remaining slush and resulting mud and discovered this little blip of color along the muddy road, nestled into a safe haven. Hark Spring!
