Carousel, Leeds City Centre

A few members of our camera club arranged to meet in Leeds city centre this afternoon for a wander round to take photos.

We started in the light and went into the new Trinity centre then the Corn Exchange, followed by trips up and down the alleyways and arcades around Briggate. The aim was to finish up at the German Christmas market and then a swift pint in the pub before heading home.

It was pretty chilly - especially when standing around for too long.

Our evening ended on an a bit of a sour note as when we got to the market the 'security gentlemen' descended on us and told us we were not allowed to take photographs with professional equipment. We would have to get a permit from the council.

Luckily I had my camera out and on the tripod - and so I grabbed this shot of the carousel as we were being told to pack up! Fortunately it came out 'not too bad'.
