Clementines

Today's the day ..................... for Christmas food

Do you remember when you only got clementines at Christmas time - and that sweet, juicy taste was something really special? You would even be quite excited to find the one in the toe of your Christmas stocking!

I can't imagine that children nowadays would be all that chuffed to receive one - because you can get them all the year round and they aren't very special anymore. But then the same applies to so much of our food. What would we do now if we could only get fresh tomatoes and strawberries in the summer?

We expect to have fruit and veg available at all times - and I, for one, think that we miss out a bit on the pleasure of tasting something that you have been anticipating for a while ..................
