Mothers' Day flowers

These are the lovely tulips that my daughter Dazed gave me on Sunday. They looked beautiful in the evening light.

Mothers' Day is always bittersweet for me now. I get cards and little presents for Mr Toadally's Mum (bath cream and chocs) and my ex's Mum (a ream of A4 paper for her, the perfect present) but the person I really want to thank and hug is my own Mum, who died in 2002. It makes shopping for the cards and presents really difficult. Much worse than Fathers' Day - not sure why - though I don't have to buy any cards for that, maybe that's the difference?
