At Home: Waterboy...x
There is not a happier place than the bath on a cold winters day. I remember being beaus age, and listening to the rain driving on the bathroom windows. I remember thinking about the how it was possible to have such icy cold rain water outside at the same time as my super hot bath water. I was reminded of the difference frequently by an icy cold blast of air from the overflow drain in the bath . It was connected horizontally through the wall, not a turn in the pipe. I think the builder of our house had a strange sense of humour and perhaps giggles to himself at the thought of the occupants in winter receiving an icy blast to this day!
Fortunately, someone always lacquers the drain with cotton wool bung. Its a Yorkshireman's solution to a problem not big enough to fix, but irritating to cover nevertheless. x
