They're still here

Joel suggested that I take a photo of this huge knot in the tree in our back yard as there is something rather mysterious about it. Why would that happen, randomly, on a branch of a tree. Joel thinks there's something fishy going on. I think there might be a pixie tea room located there. Each to his own, I always say.

Anyway, as I was setting up to snap a shot, I accidentally took about four photos because I had gloves on and my fingers were sort of weird. When I came in to download, there she was. Lousy photo of her face but you can see her awesome crown and her hair is blazing white. Really nice. You can see the knot in the background, too. Sort of blurry. What do you think it is?
