A Quality Beer

See? You can tell by the 6X flag flying above the brewery.

The 6X brewery is the reason many people have heard of Devizes. We have the brewery, the drays that deliver beer to the many Wadworths pubs, and the shiny new Visitor Centre that serves 6X and fruitcake. In the true tradition of living virtually on top of a major tourist attraction, we've never been there. We do of course manage to attend the occasional beer festival.

This brewery is on a major junction as you come into Devizes, and is a local landmark. Newly pregnant a few years back I would feel my insides churn as I drove through the smell of hops every morning. It's meshed with the town's identity, and with my pregnancy. The hops don't smell as bad these days.
