Happy New Year

Today is a New Year Day as per Hindu Marathi Calender. The festival is called Gudhipadwa in Maharashtra. In South India, this day is celebrated as Ugadi, festival of Spring.

We can see Gudhi as in the picture, hoisted outside every house at a high place so that everyone can see it.

Gudhi is symbol of Victory!
