ANY CHANCE OF A FRY-UP?
We had a text from our granddaughter yesterday to say she was going to the dentist early this morning and asking if she could pop round to see us afterwards. The text continued “Any chance of a fry-up? ;-)” I told her that if she text me when she left the dentist I would see what I could do. When she arrived she said that she had only been joking, but was ready for breakfast!!
Here is the result - Charlotte ready to eat her fry-up. Not sure it’s the healthiest of breakfasts, but we all enjoyed spending time together. She apologised for not coming before, but said she has a busy life! We quite understand and are just grateful that she came. She told us about her drumming and a recent gig she played in and it was good to hear her ambitions for when she finishes her music course - she will then be going on to do a university course at the same music academy - it’s obvious she is very talented and loves her music.
We enjoyed looking at some old photographs then Mr. HCB then got out the bagatelle, which belonged to his mother and has been in the family for many years - they had to kneel on the floor to play, so unfortunately, I couldn't join them, but they had a great time together. It seems no time at all since she was a little girl - where did the years go?
Grandparents bestow upon their grandchildren
the strength and wisdom that time
and experience have given them.
Grandchildren bless their Grandparents
with a youthful vitality and innocence
that help them stay young at heart forever.
Together they create a chain of love
linking the past with the future.
The chain may lengthen,
but it will never part.
