Reflections of a naff day.

It is supposed to be a weather bomb, but it's just another one of those ugly, winter days in Orkney. Salvo doesn't seem to be concerned with the volume of hail streaming down the window, although the volume in general has Lilli a little on edge.

I'm on bus driving duty today but, in a change to the regular programme, I'm working 'sans' bus. Orkney ferries have cancelled all services today so nobody is going anywhere. I'm sitting here waiting to take bookings, in the event that anyone is feeling optimistic. Got my i-pod on shuffle playing through the Bose, two cups of tea and the best, if occasionally disruptive, company one could wish for. (There's a blackboard on the fridge with just two words on it: SALVO! and NO!)

It's a day that has 'self-assessment tax return' written all over it.
