Oh dear, we had the tickets all ready for the Nativity play "Mary, Joseph and the Donkey" only for the donkey to fall ill during the night!

Decorating the tree, a log delivery and everyone outside piling up the logs, the thought of the play in the morning, proved to be too much excitement in one day for a little girl.

So it's been a quiet day at home for us all. There will be another year, but we are all sooooo disappointed, the first nativity is such a special one, and I did travel a long way to see it!

That's life and I'm pleased I'm here to look after her when mummy goes to work tomorrow.
