Neglected beauty on Broad Street, Abingdon

I pass by this building often yet have no idea what, if anything, goes on inside it. I think it's empty. It's certainly neglected and unloved. Nonetheless, the curvy rooftop and the flaking paintwork looked stunning in the winter afternoon sunshine.

I must find out what the emblems over the door mean. Annoyingly, zooming-in doesn't really help: when uploading I realised my camera has been set on low resolution jpg mode since I took EBay photos last weekend!
