Gaslight

We were expecting a big storm, and all the communications yesterday notified us that schools, nurseries, and the college would be closed due to the severe weather expected. It came in the early morning, and while reading in bed, the power to the entire region was cut off. Fortunately we were re-connected around 10.30, so there was no need for these camping gas lamps to be used after all. The sea was incredible (actually classed as "phenomenal" the highest classification) with waves reported 45 feet high and the surf breaking three times that height. I was going to go down to the shore to photograph it for my blip, but I decided to stay by the stove with my books!
