Pavement

Cycled in to work this morning, the wheels crunched over slushy ice that had prevented me cycling in yesterday. I had my wet weather gear, and sure enough it poured down during the morning. At lunchtime it stopped, so I popped to buy a couple of birthday cards. Of course, Murphy's Law came in to play , and too far from the office to return, and still a fair distance from the shop, it started to rain.

Purchases secured, I walked back down Melville Street and noticed how shiny the pavement was in the rain. It was also colourful, unlike the landscapes that I took, which were lacking colour.
