Alongside the Deveron

Out walking today from Bridge of Marnoch to Rothiemay, a shortish walk for the group as there was a certain Xmas lunch in a local hostelry to look forward to. The much anticipated weather bomb had not yet reached this neck of the woods when we set off but about five miles in we were enveloped by heavy sleety snow which made for unpleasant walking. Some of the group began to struggle a bit so a decision was taken to send for our bus and call it a day and head for the warmth of the bar. Two hours later and full of turkey and all the trimmings the downside of the morning had already been forgotten!
