A Game of Chess
Miserable weather today so it's been a quiet day for us today. After a slow morning, we headed into Berwick to pick up some bits and bobs (Rory's been planning on building a shoe rack for the cottage) and the next thing we knew, it was 3 o'clock and we hadn't had lunch.
We headed back to the cottage armed with a second hand glass chess set (from one of the charity shops) after playing for ages yesterday. A short stroll around the grounds of Paxton house in the freezing cold and wind, I don't know when it got so cold.
We spent the rest of the evening playing a few games of chess before Rory made tea (Rory won twice, and I won once!). Going to spend the rest of the night curled up on the sofa watching The Railway Man, which I've seen and am bullying Rory into watching as he made me watch a film about the Tour de France last night.
