Stormy

I once heard a TV weatherman, reporting on an approaching hurricane, say that the cameraman always made him stand in front of a palm tree because the slightest gust of wind would blow it around as if the hurricane had already started. I became quite mesmerized by our little stand of palm trees blowing in the rain and wind.

We are being told to clear our gutters, check our flashlight batteries, have provisions for 72 hours, and not to drive anywhere we don't have to for the next day and a half. High winds and up to 8 inches of rain are being predicted, which in this part of the world means downed trees, floods and power outages. OilMan is muttering that, "people aren't as tough as they used to be…."

Of course they're also still telling us that the drought is not over….

We are making sure we have plenty of wine….
