Mt Charleston

Today was an incredibly busy day with a 7.15am deadline for leaving home to get to a Paediatric appointment right the other side of town. It was no mean feat as this was the first time we had needed to get ourselves up early, breakfasted, the girls up and breakfasted and then everybody out of the door with all the paraphernalia which was needed for the day. we made it .... just! This is the view of Mt Charleston, 8,000' high showing off its snowy peak, the wonderful result of the rather dismal and uncharacteristically wet few days down in the desert, itself 2,000' above sea level, a fact which I found astonishing when I first heard it. The image was taken from a moving car so I was reasonably pleased with it.
