It was a hectic day today. I felt a bit better but decided not to go to the lunchtime appointment. People from London arrived, never together. Late afternoon we went across the road for our Christmas Celebration Christmas Party. It went really well. i even was in a team that won a round of the quiz.

But the weather - atrocious! By 5 the rain was battering the windows but people came to the service. And it was lovely but I couldn't sing and my cough kept returning and the most inopportune moments. Afterwards quite a few folk came back for mince pies and chat.

At the end 4 of us went to a deserted pub for a drink. All the pubs up the Royal Mile were deserted. No wonder it was so wild and windy. I was really glad to get home to the warmth. Tiring day.
