Gymnopilus hybridus

Went to some woods this afternoon, in the hope of finding a few fungi. But only found this one which was worth a picture. This wood is part of a group of woods which is well recorded for fungi, over 3000 species. This may seem a lot but there are probably over 12000 species in the UK.
