It's Pretty Again
A day of snow fall promised a seasonal blip but it was so wet that pretty, fluffy mounds of pristine snow lasted about ten seconds. This is the effect on the ivy flowers.
Oddly enough at lunchtime we watched a bluetit exploring the birdbox. Is it one of last year's brood visiting its birthplace? Making a reconnaissance with a view to beating the rush for a suitable nest site in the coming spring? Or just wanting a dry roost for the night?
