Finally

caught this Belted Kingfisher this morning after a rather unsuccessful day yesterday. This female wouldn't let me within a hundred feet or so before flying off. She did the same today and finally on the third try managed to get a shot click off. It's on a pond in our state park were these "fisher" birds catch their meals. I hope she stays for a while, maybe she'll warm up to me....... right?
