Today's the day .................. to be invited

Isn't it just typical? You have days and days of not having anything in particular going on - and then one day when it's all happening.

I was invited out to lunch today in a lovely little bistro in town. So that was very nice. And then tonight, I was invited to a party in another restaurant to celebrate John's 60th birthday.

The only trouble was, I really had to go to a choir practice because it was the dress rehearsal for our concert tomorrow. So I couldn't stay very long before I had to leave the party where everyone was just getting up steam.

Ah well - it's that time of year I suppose .....................?
