Kiwifruit the next stage
I am having trouble getting motivated today after an overcast gloomy start weatherwise. However the sun is out and I found the bee hives had gone from the kiwifruit orchard and I could get a little closer to show how the bees had done their work and pollinated the flower. This hairy little berry could be destined for your place come April-May 2015. Can you see the thickness of the trunk behind? This plant must be about 20 or more years old. The stalks with no fruit on show the thinners have been through and rubbed off some fruit. Each plant can only support so many fruit to get them the right size. Quite a science.
