Tea and biccies
Tea for me anyway. I had tried a new kind of biscuit but found them over sweet so have been crumbling them up for the birds.
I was having a cup of tea when I noticed this little chap enjoying his morning tea alternating between a sip of water and a crumb of biscuit. The camera was for once handy, so got my blip for today.
According to the bird book he is a house sparrow wearing his summer black bib and his black breeding season beak (try saying that fast!).
Sparrows were introduced in to New Zealand in the 1860s by the early colonists.
