Loved this Christmas card which arrived at work today from an ex-colleague.

Frances retired as a Speech Therapist a few years ago, just before all the big changes happened in our department. That year there were quite a few therapists who got to the age to be able to retire and take their pension immediately, and most of them went for it.

Frances and her husband sold up, moved north, and now have a lovely little place where they keep a tiny herd of Alpaca. I love to hear her stories of what the 'boys' have been up to, and of her gardening experiences.

It's always nice to keep in touch with folk you enjoyed working with. I'll be doing my annual newsletter to all the retirees soon, updating them on all of the many, many changes that have taken place since they left. Funnily enough, they always write back and say they do not regret having retired!
