Overflowing Dampness
Well a quick drive over to my mums this morning was followed by a trip to Tesco and then I did a quick drive to the Upper Glendevon reservior a few miles north of Dunfermline to catch this shot of the overflow for the upper reservoir in action, a rather chilly day indeed up in the hills without to much walking involved in this shot as the water runs down a huge channel down into the River Devon and then it runs down into the Lower Glendevon reservoir nice to see we have such an abundance of fresh water infact Scotland holds 90% of the UK's fresh water and I was reading a recent article how there looking at building a £14bn canal to transport fresh water from Scotland over to England to help supply those areas that don't have the fortune of a plentiful water supply and it would be a gravity fed canal I wonder if they would allow boats on it as that would be one great trip from one end of the country to the other just lazily sailing a canal boat all the way mooring up next to a wee boozer for a pub lunch that would be neat anyway I dare say that it will be a long way off in building that I would think knowing the timescale for planning consent and objections but as it's a fresh water canal it's more likely to be a boat free canal as they wouldn't want it tainted with all sorts of horrid things floating along it anyway I don't want to put folks off there dinner now so my movie for the day is "Reservoir Hill 2009" Go Big See Ya
